PSD Preview & Image Converter

Open supported Photoshop files, preview their stored composite, extract bitmap layers or turn a PNG into a verified single-layer PSD.

Open a PSD or image

PSD: 32 MiB, 8-bit RGB, up to 100 layer/group records and 16 million combined pixels. PNG/JPG/WebP: 20 MiB. Each image: 4 million pixels and 4,096 pixels per side.

Open a file or try the example.

This is a converter, not a Photoshop editor. Stored composite reflects the source’s last saved preview. Extracted layers omit rendered masks, layer effects and adjustment compositing. PSD export creates one bitmap layer from your selected image; it does not rewrite the original document. PSB, CMYK, indexed and 16-bit PSD are unsupported.

Preview

No image loaded.

Processing runs locally using ag-psd. Source files remain unchanged. PNG and single-layer PSD exports preserve decoded 8-bit RGBA, not every source feature or profile.

Using PSD Preview & Image Converter

Preview and convert supported Photoshop bitmap documents without a processing upload.

  1. Open an 8-bit RGB PSD or a PNG/JPG/WebP image.
  2. Choose the stored composite or an individual bitmap layer in the preview selector.
  3. Download a PNG, export the selected image as a new single-layer PSD, or extract raw layer PNGs with a layout manifest.

Example

Try the example, download its PSD, reopen that PSD and export its composite as PNG.

Questions & answers

Is this a full PSD editor?

No. It previews stored composites, extracts raw bitmap layers and writes a new single-layer PSD. A full PSD editing workspace is a separate planned feature.

Which PSD files work?

8-bit RGB PSD within the displayed dimension, layer-count and decoded-pixel limits. PSB, CMYK, indexed and 16-bit files are rejected. Some newer Photoshop features remain unsupported by the decoder.

Do extracted layers look exactly like the composite?

Not necessarily. Raw layer PNGs do not include rendered masks, effects, adjustments or the document’s blend compositing. The saved composite is the best preview of the original document.

Does PSD export preserve the original document layers?

No. It creates a new PSD containing one bitmap layer from the selected preview image. The export is reopened and checked against the input RGBA pixels.

Are files uploaded?

Conversion runs in a browser worker. The website also uses ads and analytics as described in its privacy policy.
