Cookies & browser storage

The directory saves tool identifiers in local storage in this browser. Use “Clear saved favorites & recent tools” on the tools directory to remove them. No tool inputs are stored by this feature.

A session cookie keeps administrators signed in. It is not used to identify regular visitors in our activity counters.

Some tools save preferences. Pages with Google AdSense may use advertising cookies from Google and other advertising partners, including for ad delivery, measurement and personalization where permitted. These cookies are separate from our own cookie-free activity counters. Some pages also include external libraries. Use the consent message or privacy controls offered by the advertising service to manage its choices. Browser settings let you manage site data and third-party cookies. You can also review Google advertising preferences and read Google’s partner-site data information.

Our own counters use no visitor cookie or persistent visitor identifier. They aggregate tool page requests and directory interactions. Read our privacy information for details.

With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits to public pages, including the pages viewed, device and browser information and general traffic sources. It uses cookies and sends measurement data to Google. It is separate from our own aggregate counters and from Google AdSense advertising choices. Our Analytics integration does not send tool inputs, uploaded files or generated results, and removes query strings and fragments from the page URLs it reports.

Analytics is off until you choose “Allow analytics.” Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to change your choice. This preference is saved in this browser for up to 180 days. We disable Analytics when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Local development and admin pages are excluded. Turning Analytics off stops further collection through this integration; you can remove existing Analytics cookies through your browser settings.
