Each JPG, PNG or WebP: up to 20 MiB, 8 million pixels and 16,000 pixels per edge. Animated files use a decoded frame.
Frame aspect ratio follows the first image. Different sizes are resized for visual comparison; this tool does not measure pixel equality. PNG keeps empty areas transparent.

Your two images appear here.
Drag across the preview or move this slider. Arrow keys adjust 1%; Home and End go to the edges. In overlay view, this controls the second image’s opacity.
Output dimensions appear after loading both images.
PNG preserves transparency; JPG uses a white background at 92% quality. The slider divider and labels are included as shown. This exports a still image, not an interactive slider.

Using Image Compare & Before / After Slider
Inspect visual changes between two images and export a clear still comparison.
- Load a first and second JPG, PNG or WebP image, or try the demo.
- Choose slider, side-by-side or opacity overlay. Fit whole images or center-crop to fill; adjust output width and labels.
- Drag the preview or use the accessible range slider. Download PNG for transparency or JPG with a white background.
Example
Compare a photo before and after color editing with a 50% divider. Put two design variants side by side and export a labeled comparison.
Questions & answers
Can I drag the divider?
Yes. Drag horizontally across the preview in slider or overlay mode. The range control supports arrow keys plus Home and End. Side-by-side view does not use a divider position.
What does overlay do?
It draws the second image over the first with your selected opacity. It is a visual overlay, not a mathematical difference map.
What if the images have different sizes?
The frame aspect ratio follows the first image. Whole-image fitting preserves each image’s proportions and can leave transparent space; fill mode center-crops. Swap images to change the frame reference.
Does this prove two files are identical?
No. Images are resized for a visual comparison; no pixel-equality score, file equality test or forensic analysis is provided. Use File Checksum Calculator for comparing file hashes.
How big can the images be?
Each image can be up to 20 MiB, 8 million pixels and 16,000 pixels per edge. Output width is 320–3,200 pixels, with a total output limit of 8 million pixels. Side-by-side output rounds odd widths down to keep equal panels.
What is in the download?
A still PNG or JPG image with the selected comparison view, position and optional labels. It does not export an interactive website slider. PNG keeps transparent areas; JPG fills them white at 92% quality.
Can I compare animated images?
Supported animated WebP or PNG uses a single decoded frame. This tool compares still images and does not synchronize animation.
Are images uploaded or stored?
No processing upload or saved image history is used. Images stay in browser memory and local downloads. Clear images releases them; website ads and analytics follow the privacy information.
