Decision Tree Explanation Builder
Turn conditions and outcomes into a readable explanatory tree and an editable poster.
One rooted tree, unique IDs, explicit parent links, at most 80 nodes and 12 levels. Missing parents, disconnected cycles and repeated IDs are rejected. Conditions are labels, not executable decisions or an inferred classifier.
Using Decision Tree Explanation Builder
Turn conditions and outcomes into a readable explanatory tree and an editable poster.
- Open supported local sources or try the worked example. Files are not automatically fetched from URLs, and originals are not overwritten.
- Use Details & settings to select the right columns, assumptions, rules and presentation. Select a review card for exact source evidence and notes.
- Use Preview for the visual, method notes and result table. Chart zoom and full screen keep controls nearby; editorial proposals remain unapplied until explicitly approved.
- Use Export for task-specific artifacts, editable SVG/PNG where supported, standalone HTML and portable review data. Save review to continue with the exact original files.
Example
The worked data is tailored to this chart or method. It includes useful review cases such as missing stages, tied ranks, an unreconciled total, unequal sampling effort or an invalid composition sum. Inspect the visual and the evidence table, then change one setting and compare the result.
Questions & answers
What does Decision Tree Explanation Builder support?
One rooted tree, unique IDs, explicit parent links, at most 80 nodes and 12 levels. Missing parents, disconnected cycles and repeated IDs are rejected. Conditions are labels, not executable decisions or an inferred classifier.
What can I download?
The chart/workflow ZIP includes data, findings, source fingerprints, settings and task-specific artifacts. Most visual tools also offer direct editable SVG and PNG exports. Some include offline interactive HTML, selected records, frame SVGs or geometry/dot evidence. Display rounding and normalization stay documented.
Can I save my work and is processing local?
Yes. Save review retains settings, manual decisions and exact source names/SHA-256 fingerprints. Reopen it with the matching originals. Processing uses local libraries and bounded browser workers; source links are not automatically opened. Public pages retain existing approved ads and optional analytics.
What are the limits and important assumptions?
Use up to eight files, normally 25 MiB each and 80 MiB total. Data import supports 50,000 rows/300 columns, with smaller per-visual node, geometry or observation limits stated in the tool scope. Workers stop after 30 seconds. SVG theme input is limited to 1 MiB; transcript review chunks to 200,000 characters. Readability, review hints, geographic displays and statistical comparisons are scoped aids rather than factual, accessibility, causal or professional certification.
