Prepare text: count it, change case, then check it
A short text workflow helps you meet length requirements and keep capitalization consistent. Keep your original so you can compare the final result.
Check your length
Open the Word Counter and paste a draft. Review word and character counts before cutting useful content. Different services can count words or characters differently, so verify against the destination’s own limit when it matters.
A sentence such as Meet me at 10:30. contains punctuation and a number. Emoji, combined characters and non-Latin languages make a simple space-based count less useful. This tool uses Unicode-aware counting, but another application may use a different definition.
Choose a case style
Use the Text Case Converter for a consistent heading, label or identifier. Choose the mode that fits the destination.
- Uppercase: useful for a short label such as
START HERE. - Lowercase: useful for normalizing text you will review afterward.
- Title case: a starting point for a heading, with a manual check for names and abbreviations.
- Snake case: useful for an identifier such as
monthly_report.
Try monthly report, compare uppercase and snake case, then select the output you need. The converter offers locale choices; some letters change differently depending on the language.
Review the result
- Keep a copy of the original text.
- Read proper names, acronyms and punctuation after conversion.
- Count the converted output again if you have a strict limit.
- Copy or download only the version that you intend to use.
Automatic casing cannot know your organization’s editorial style. Review titles, product names and mixed-language text yourself.
Questions & answers
Can changing case change the character count?
Yes. Some Unicode letters expand or change their representation when converted. Recheck the final text against your destination’s limit.
Is title case always correct for names?
No. A name, brand or acronym may have a specific spelling. Automatic title case is a starting point for review.
Can I reuse text from one tool in another?
Copy the result and paste it into the next tool. Check the selected output before copying, and keep the original when you may need to undo changes.
