Input, export & project notes

Projects save editable content, controls and source fingerprints. Original binary files remain on your device; reselect them after reopening to regenerate media-dependent results. Downloads may include a bounded proof rather than the full original. Review the method and export labels before delivery.

Using Audio Edit Decision List Converter

Inspect and exchange CMX3600 non-drop cut lists with explicit source frame rates.

  1. Select the original EDL frame rate before opening a .edl file. JSON and CSV records are also supported.
  2. Review source and record positions in the timing overview and Evidence table. Edit records and apply changes.
  3. Check Review, then open Export for the CMX3600 cut list and CSV. Keep your original media; this tool does not render or reconnect it.

Questions & answers

Which EDL formats work?

CMX3600 cuts with non-drop timecodes. Drop-frame, dissolves, wipes, speed changes and automation are rejected, not silently discarded.

Which frame rate should I select?

Use the rate used to create the source EDL. The EDL does not reliably declare it. Supported rates are 24, 25, 30, 50, 60 and non-drop 23.976, 29.97 and 59.94.

Does it edit my audio or video?

No. It converts edit instructions and exports text files; it does not process source media.
